Day Three in Boston

Hi from a cold but clear Boston, where the students have had a great day, around such a beautiful town and then the Harvard University area.

The students started out with workshops at the Boston University and really enjoyed their opportunities to do different things with their repertoire, seeing it from the perspective of two USA experts in string ensembles and choral work.

After a 90 minute workshop, the students enjoyed lunch in the beautiful street of Harvard where many availed themselves of some Harvard University souvenirs. After this we really enjoyed a great tour around Harvard where we gathered a real understanding of the University that only allows 5% of all applicants to attend! Something for the aspiring Barker kids to think about!

Late afternoon saw us venture downtown Boston and then perform in the outdoor area of the Mall to a very appreciative and complimentary crowd! After some rushed shopping in Macey's and then dinner, we are all getting ready to leave the hotel soon and head down to the Symphony Hall to hear the Boston Pops do their Christmas Orchestra concert. Should be great. All going well but a few tired students and staff. Will aim to check in again tomorrow after the concert before we head to the Big Apple. Until then.. enjoy some shots of the day. And please feel free to comment by clicking on the link to let us know what you think of the blog and the tour. Thanks Dr M.
