It's time to say goodbye to Old New York....

In those immortal words of Frank Sinatra,

Start spreading the news
I am leaving today
I want to be a part of it
New York, New York!!

Well, what a three jam-packed days we have enjoyed in the city that never sleeps.

By the amount of shopping that some students have done, I am also wondering if they've had much sleep, but what a great time we have all had.

Last night's concert was stunning and today we performed at the Special Music School, at the Kaufman Center. Here the two groups performed with their usual confidence and the school audience really enjoyed the concert we provided. This was followed by a concert form our hosts, then we shared afternoon tea and YES, more pizza!

Thanks must go to ex Barker Student/Music Teacher from many years (Yvonne Lau) for assisting in the organisation of this. Fantastic to see her and also enjoy seeing her two you children perform in the concert the school gave.

This morning allowed us some more time to play snowball throwing in Central Park, and the glorious sunshine, illuminated the New York skyline as we enjoyed a brisk walk through the park prior to the concert today. This afternoon, we had a brief visit to the Metropolitan Museum, which was incredible and now we are about to venture up to Broadway to see 'Matilda', ending off a fun filled day. All are well, but I think we're are looking forward to the performance on the 80th floor of the Empire State tomorrow morning, followed by the coach trip south to Pennsylvania, where I think a few will catching some extra winks! Enjoy the photos..time to head out. Dr M...

Matilda was so amazing. Best musical experience (sorry to the cast of Singin' in the Rain)
